Tahoe Rundown

Aman and I have now spent about two days in Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada. No, there’s not a baseball team up here but his best friend is getting married and Aman had duties to perform as The Best Man. Let me tell you: Lake Tahoe is awesome. I was last here at the ripe age of three. This was the first and last time I saw snow, so it’s still kind of a big deal. I didn’t realize how the elevation was over here; it’s just about 6,200 feet. Tackling Denver in a couple days doesn’t seem so much an issue anymore. A few unorganized thoughts about the area:

  • The air is crisp, clear and amazing. This may be my imagination considering I spent my last two weeks in wildfire afflicted Northern California and the shithole known as Los Angeles, but Aman agrees. Air like this is quite a novelty for me.
  • Trees + Mountains + Lakes = Win. The view is pretty sweet as we’re surrounded by nature on all sides. I’m a big city guy, but I could definitely get used to this. I’m going to take some photos tomorrow at sunrise.
  • The women here are gorgeous. Aman has a Theory of Small Towns which he’ll explain at some point, but for now rest assured that this city has some very positive notes.

We head for Seattle tomorrow morning!
